Philly Cheesesteak Burger

Ingredient List
  • 3-4 teaspoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 small onion, sliced into rings
  • 1/2 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 6.4-ounce package Upton’s Naturals Classic Burger (2 patties)
  • 2 slices or 1/2 cup vegan swiss or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 burger buns
  • 2 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise
Heat 2 teaspoons of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the onions and peppers. Cook for 5-6 minutes, until golden and tender. Remove from heat.

Add the rest of the oil if necessary, then pan fry the burger patties for 3 minutes on each side, placing the cheese on the burgers once flipped, covering with a lid if necessary to melt the cheese.

Toast the burger buns, then spread the mayo on the insides. Place each burger patty on its bun, then top with the onions and peppers.
